What is Salvation?
Have you ever wondered what would happen to you after you die? Do you know what salvation means?
Salvation allows you to live a safe life right here, right now, and in the hereafter. It offers you a better life now, and insures that you gain eternity with God!
Follow this lesson and pray the prayer of salvation (printed below) to begin your brand new life.
Romans Chapter 10, verses 9 through 13 in the
New Testament of the Holy Bible
gives instructions on how to gain salvation!
This is what the above scriptures say:
9: If you confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
10: To believe in your heart helps you become a righteous person and confessing with your mouth helps you gain salvation.
11: For the scriptures say "whoever believes on Him will not be ashamed."
12: There is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord is over all and is rich to all who call upon Him.
13: Whoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved!
The above scriptures show that there are 3 steps to gain salvation. These 3 steps are the beginning of your new life.
1) Confess (admit) that Jesus is Lord (vs. 9)
2) Believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead (vs. 9)
3) Call on the name of the Lord (ask God for help in your life, vs. 9)
Once you take the 3 steps, you will be saved. And, as you learn more about God, you will begin to act better and differently, than you have in the past. This is what it means to be born again.
You may ask, "what will the difference be?" There are 2 ways: the obvious and the not so obvious.
Obvious: if you are involved with obvious sinful activities like drugs, stealing, fighting, etc., you will desire to change and find the strength in your spirit to take steps to change.
Not So Obvious: If you're not involved with obvious types of sin, God's still wants you to walk in the plan that He has for your life. He will open many new doors for you and, you will gain everlasting!
Of course, the 3 steps are only the beginning. You can grow spiritually from this point by praying, reading the bible, and attending a church where you can learn more about the plan God has for your life and, how to walk in it.

Verse 9, says to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord. This doesn't mean you must speak out loud. If that were so, those who couldn't speak could not be saved. The word for mouth in the original scriptures is from the Greek word stoma which also means edge (like a sword). It is also of the Greek word stomachos - the stomach. Therefore, confess with your mouth means to admit from deep within yourself, cutting away any doubt, that Jesus is Lord. Think it, believe it, communicate it, and act like it!
Remember, Hebrews 4: 12 teaches that God's word is sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing the division of the soul and spirit, joint and marrow (down to the bone) and discerns the thoughts and intentions of our heart! In other words, God doesn't want us to just talk the talk, but walk the walk. Let our actions show that we admit Jesus is Lord!
Also, you must believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead after He was crucified. With this belief in your heart, you will follow your heart, which will be filled with the love of God and no one can take it from you! You will be dedicated to live the way God wants you to live and you will believe that Jesus is alive!
Verse 10 explains that you will be a righteous (good) person who obeys God because you will try to do what is right, which is what righteous people do. By confessing that Jesus is Lord, you admit that He is in charge and allow Him to lead you by following the Word of God (the bible).
Verse 11 says whoever believes on Him will not be ashamed. This is because God will bless you in many ways even though others may not believe in Him. And, when Jesus returns to earth, everyone will see how real He is! Also, people shouldn't be ashamed about what they believe in so, don't be ashamed about your belief in God and Jesus.
Verse 12 says there is no distinction between Jew and Greek which means it doesn't matter to God what your nationality is! God treats everyone who calls on Him, equally.
Verse 13 says whoever shall call on the name of the Lord will be saved. The word "name" means reputation and authority. The word "call" means, go to for help. When you go to Jesus (pray to Him) for help, He will lead you in the right direction to live a safe life now, and in the hereafter with God forever!
Don't wait another minute, accept Christ into your life today!
No matter who you are or what you've done, God loves you and He will forgive you right now. Start your new life now!
You can accept Christ right now!
You're just 2 questions, 1 direction and
a prayer away...
It's easy! Are you ready?
Follow these steps of Salvation (Romans 10:9, 13):
1) Do you admit that Jesus Christ is the Lord? If you answered yes, go on to the next question.
2) Do you believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead? If you answered yes, here's the final step:
3) Call on the Name of the Lord (God's authority) to lead your life. That's it! Just say the prayer of salvation:
Prayer of Salvation
Dear God, I believe in You and Your Son Jesus Christ. I admit that Jesus is the Lord and I believe in my heart that You raised Jesus from the dead.
Lord Jesus, I call on Your name right now. Come into my life. Please live in me, and lead, guide, and protect me. I accept You as my Lord and Savior. Dear God, I submit my will to You and accept Your will into my life.
I repent for the sins I have committed. Please forgive me and help me to do what You want me to do for the rest of my life.
I give myself to You now. Thank You Father God, for saving me. I pray this prayer in Jesus' name, amen!
Congratulations!
